Questions & Answers

Why did you choose your profession?
I grew up in an entrepreneurial home (my dad owned his own business). I had the opportunity from a young age to influence and impact my dad's company - I have looked for that same "thread" in every post I have taken. Q: how can I influence the people, corporate direction and impact the community - and...have fun doing it?
Who are your main influences?
My dad (creative thinker - visionary), my father-in-law (compassionate leader - giving back to the community). I like the way Patrick Lencioni (strategist) thinks about corporate structure and process. I like the way Malcom Gladwell (anthropologist/author) thinks about communities and popular culture. David Rock is currently challenging my thinking on Leadership in re. to performance and productivity (Quiet Leadership).
Describe your greatest accomplishment.
Personally: my family
Professionally: the relationships I have built over the years
What are your long-term goals?
I have a pretty wide appetite: I'm involved in a number of nonprofits - I have a passion for giving back...so, I will keep doing that in the near/long-term.
I enjoy difficult business environments & how to turn those entities into something unique. If that is owning a company or running a division - I enjoy being stretched and working together with a team to create something special. I am currently stirred-up about how you can transform performance at work (NeuroLeadership).
